Currently I’m just using the Fotodiox FD to EF adapter but I’m looking to get them hard converted to EF. I’m just curious why I’m losing a stop of light and the field of view is that different between two 35mm lenses. Also with the Fotodiox adapter when I open the FD lens all the way to 1.8 it’s insanely soft.
NIce, I have have the Fringer EF to Z adapter and it been work great with all my EF lenses ( 3X Canon Tilt and Shift, 16-35 F4 IS, 70-200 F4 IS, 70-200 F2.8 IS II, 35 F1.4L II, 300 F4, 4X EF mount Zeiss Distagon/Milvus) on Z9, I will give this new adapter a try too. kind of interested to see how that aperture control thing works, why not just

The RF mount is larger. Technically speaking RF and EF mount have the same sized mount, they’re both 54mm wide. The difference is the RF mount is substantially closer to the sensor, thus the RF mount appears larger to the sensor. The main difference will be the EF lenses will offer a wider angle of view. The EF-S will offer the same angle of view as your 7D2, except the end result will not have the full resolution of the image
