This is a known problem with the 545 trans. Some people have changed the solenoid pack which has the range sensor and pyrometer in it and some have found bad / oily contacts on the 23 pin trans connector or changed the PCM, but many never fix the issue. If you own a Chrysler vehicle with a 5.7 Hemi engine, you may have experienced an oil leak on the driver’s side of the engine. This is a common problem with these vehicles, and it can be caused by several different things. One possible cause of an oil leak on the driver’s side of a 5.7 Hemi engine is a faulty oil pressure sensor. The following are the most common 5.7 Hemi oil pressure problems-. Low oil pressure problem. Too high viscosity. Oil pressure sensor issue. Oil filter issue. 5.7 Hemi oil may cause problems like these if you fail to wear better fluidity through lubrication systems. It may burn about a quart of oil for every 6000-8000 miles or above, Low and The problem comes from raising the cam in the block to re-do the valvetrain geometry. That solved a lot of the valvetrain problems the GenI and GenII HEMI's had, but introduced new ones with oiling at idle. That plus several years of lower quality lifters, before switching back to a better supplier. That being said, I just finished up today 9/30/20 my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.7 Hemi 156,000 miles cam and lifter replace. The 1 main lifter that went bad in mine was also a non MDS lifter it was intake lifter #3cyl and lifter in #8 cyl just started to do damage to the cam. The ONLY issue i have is when i floor the jeep from a first gear stomp, it hits rev limiter for a solid second or two before it shifts to the next gear. At this point I should have decided to put in another engine.. unfortunately I didn't. Says it covers some 2013-2017 JGC and Dodge Durango’s. i have recently purchased a used 05 hemi 5.7L grand cherokee limited. after a week of owning it, i noticed "SERVICE ELEC BRAKE SYSYTEM" displayed where the speed odometer is and along with the picture of a car with kinda like skid marks behind it.i later learned that the picture was something to do with the traction control. this display and picture would apear at first once or twice a week BKV2y.
